Opening Hours

Saturdays - we will now be closing our Saturday male daytime session at 7pm (instead of 8pm).  This is to allow us more time to change over to our night time mixed male/female event.  

 

Sundays - we will now be closing at 8pm (instead of 11pm).  We are finding that very few people come in after 7pm and very often we are empty by 9pm.  Rather have people turn up and be disappointed and with the current increase in utility costs, it makes sense to officially close earlier.  We will review this and if the demand increases, we can always change it back.

 

Toilets

We will be starting work on the toilet areas near the massage table.  Whilst not very exciting, we feel this is now essential.  We will create a Gents toilet where the old changing room used to be and a Ladies / T Girl dressing room where the current toilets are.  This will be useful on our T girl events and for our mixed male/female events on a Saturday night (it should help the women keep their feet dry!).  It will be a fairly major project as everything has to go, including the floor!

 

Dungeon

The dungeon is looking pretty grim (in-keeping with a dungeon I guess), but the plaster is beginning to crumble and we have a bit of a mould issue.  We have installed a dehumidifier in there and that is now keeping it dry, but the damage is done.  We will look to install some form of screening to allow play to continue when pool checks are done and try to separate the toilet from the play space.  Any suggestions or requests are welcome :-)

 

Treatment / Massage Room

We intend to re-configure the laundry room area to enable us to create a new Treatment / Massage room where the current massage ​​​table is.  This will give us somewhere private to offer STI testing and to potentially offer a formal massage service for those that may want to pay for a massage from a professional masseur.  We expect this to be completed around Autumn time.

 

New Steam Room / Showers / Douching Area

Towards the end of the year, we will be turning the existing steam room into a new shower area.  This will help to keep the wet area more localised, allow us to install more powerful showers in 22mm pipe (rather than the 15mm pipe feeding the current showers) whilst also giving us the ability to create a new much larger steam room where the existing showers and empty corridor is now.  This will also allow us to install some urinals and a new douching area right next to the new showers.  This will be quite an expensive project as we have to do all aspects at the same time if we are to get the steam room back up and running quickly.

 

New Events

First Friday - our Bear event on the first Friday of the month started well but then tailed off, so, following insight gained on our visit to the European Gay Sauna Conference in Amsterdam in March (who knew there was such a thing), we have decided to replace it with a completely mixed event called No Labels.  This will be a mixed gender event where gay, bi, straight, men, women, T girls and non-binary can all attend a fully inclusive event.  ***WARNING TO OUR GAY MALE CUSTOMERS - THERE WILL BE FANNIES AT THIS EVENT!!  CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, THEY DO NOT BITE!!***

 

Second Friday - CumUnion will remain in place on the second Friday of the month.

 

Third Friday - our Completely Billy Bollox event on the third Friday of the month has now been replaced with “Squirt After Work”, a new event in conjunction with Squirt.org where on entry, you will be issued with a wristband to indicate if you are top, bottom, middle or side.  This will be promoted by Squirt.org to their local members and we are expecting it to be well attended and at least as popular as CumUnion.  Official launch will be 15th May. 

 

Fourth Friday - Locker Room will remain on the 4th Friday of the month.

 

Fifth Friday - months where there are 5 Fridays (May, July, October, January) we will have a Steamer Quay special Party Night, again in conjunction with Squirt.org.  There will be a buffet, free shots and a specialist theme.  Watch the Events Page for details.

 

Mixed Male / Female Events

Our mixed Saturday nights are now standardised as follows:-

 

First Saturday – No Mercy Manor

Second Saturday – Devon After Dark / Curious Curves / SouthWest Swing Social

Third Saturday - Coupled Up

Fourth Saturday - No Limits.

 

Alcohol

We do not intend to get an alcohol license currently.  If people are sensible (which they have been mainly so far) we are happy for you to bring your own alcohol.  We just ask that you buy your soft drinks and mixers from us. Please note that anyone showing signs of being excessively intoxicated will be denied access or asked to leave. This helps to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.​​
